Sailing America - Cruising the San Juan Islands: Friday Harbor, Victoria & Port Townsend Sailing America was formed out of the love of sailing and is dedicated to capturing the true essence of what attracts everyone from all walks of life to the world of sailing. We’ll search out the best sailing locations in North America to bring you the best sailing experiences possible. You’ll discover that sailing uniquely provides sailors a relaxing, stimulating and technically challenging experience all at the same time! In this video, we are traveling up to Friday Harbor which is located on the eastern side of San Juan Island. We’ll board a 34′ C&C sailboat called Scamper in Friday Harbor and sail out into the Strait of Juan de Fuca on our trip over to Victoria, B.C. From there, we’ll sail back out into the Strait on our way over to Port Townsend. Finally, we’ll leave Port Townsend and sail down into Puget Sound to Eagle Harbor located across from Seattle. While at each port, we discuss the history of that town that makes it a must see when sailing in the Pacific Northwest.
